The demoscene is a subculture of coders, artists, and musicians creating real-time, non-interactive multimedia presentations called "demos." Originating in the 1980s from the computer hobbyist and cracking scenes, it emphasizes technical skill, creativity, and pushing hardware limits (often on retro platforms like Amiga or C64). Demos combine code, visuals, and music, showcased at events called demoparties. It’s a global, collaborative community valuing open-source ethos, innovation, and artistic expression over commercial gain.
Here’s how I’ve contributed over the years:

Cathode Ray Tube

We talked about old hardware with a friend and had an idea of making demos for crt thingies, so I made this demo for oscilloscope. What you hear is what you see. Literally.

SPIRAL LIFE

This was made for an old oscilloscope called Kenwood Trio CS-1562A. There’s a marking in the back which says it was sold out from Oulu in July 1979. Loved doing this! It’s so fascinating to draw with sounds that I will make more of these in the future for sure!

Moods Plateau

My first demo with this fantasy console.. Coded with LUA. Song made with tic’s internal editor and some gfx pixeled on TIC-80 itself also. Some nice effects here, but I’m not a very good coder. =)

This is quite fast made, had to do something for the competition. I think it’s an ok effect. Nothing special, but not your typical 3d rotating object.

Basically my idea was to make a 303 acid demo and this is what the idea evolved to. Few AI images used on this one, shame on me!! The demo itself is kind of nice though, though a bit messy.
